Daily Telegraph · Can't put a price on beauty

Reporting on Australians protecting their beauty spending through the cost-of-living squeeze, and pegged to Vogue Australia launching its first Beauty Awards, Mahalia Chang's story cited Melanie Grant as one of the judges.

The caption read: "Vogue Beauty Awards judge Melanie Grant has tested hundreds of products." Introduced as an international skincare expert whose clients include Victoria Beckham, Jessica Chastain and Suki Waterhouse, she told the paper:

"It's an honour to collaborate with such a perennial icon like Vogue, which has always sat at the helm of all things fashion and beauty. My fellow judges and I have meticulously tested hundreds of products, and we can't wait to share the winning products with Vogue's readers."

The piece drew on a News Corp reader survey placing beauty in the top three discretionary spending categories, and quoted Vogue's Francesca Wallace on a more knowledgeable, more selective consumer, with an awards shortlist ranging from a $13 face wash to a $1,200 caviar-infused serum.
