What it does
Marula oil is extracted from the kernels of the marula fruit and is a lightweight, antioxidant-rich oil that offers an array of complexion benefits.
How it works
Marula oil is composed mostly of oleic acid, with some linoleic acid, plus antioxidant procyanidins, catechins and flavonoids, which leave skin supple, soft and radiant. Rich in vitamin E and other antioxidants, it can help restore moisture and calm the look of redness or irritation.
MG says
Marula is one of the richer oils to reach for when skin is dry, dehydrated or mature. Warm two to four drops between your palms and press them onto the face, neck and décolletage as the last step of your evening routine, or mix a drop or two into your moisturiser for extra glow.
Cautions
Because it is high in oleic acid, marula oil can feel too rich for oily or breakout-prone skin; patch test first. Store it away from heat and light so it doesn't oxidise.
