The Daily Telegraph · This is how Dua Lipa and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley get ‘rich girl’ skin (and how you can too), according to Melanie Grant

This is a Q&A in The Daily Telegraph from September 2023, pegged to the trend for glossy, hydrated skin that gets called rich girl, glass or glazed doughnut skin. The paper names Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Victoria Beckham, Dua Lipa and Jennifer Aniston as faces of the look, and talks to Melanie Grant as the facialist behind much of it.

The interview was timed to her new partnership with Auteur, the German luxury skincare brand. The piece describes Grant as Australian-born and now London-based, known for a clinical beauty approach, and notes she launched her studio in 2012.

Most of the conversation is about how she preps clients for runways and red carpets. Every treatment is tailored to the client's skin on the day. Grant tells the paper, “Before an event I’m always cautious not to do anything too corrective.” For a recent runway that meant gentle peels, infusions of hydrating and brightening boosters, and red light therapy for circulation and radiance. She finished with a firm massage to move stagnant lymph and to sculpt, lift and tone the face.

She also talks about moving her base from Sydney to London. She has been treating clients from a private space in Chelsea and plans to open that diary to new clients soon. Her first official London studio, she says, will open in Mayfair before the end of the year.
