Available at
The Cosmelan Depigmentation Treatment is a clinical treatment for mild to moderate hyperpigmentation. It combines an in-clinic professional peel with a prescribed home care protocol, and works to help reduce the look of brown patches, uneven tone and lingering marks.
People book it when pigment has become the thing they notice first in the mirror. Brown patches and marks that won't fade can be frustrating, and they are hard to cover well. Cosmelan takes a structured approach, working in two phases to give you a visibly brighter and more even complexion.
Who it suits
This suits you if you have mild to moderate hyperpigmentation. That might be brown patches, an uneven skin tone, or lingering marks that have stayed long after you expected them to fade.
Because it is a clinical treatment, your therapist assesses your skin first. Suitability is confirmed at consultation. This is also when you talk through the home care, the downtime and the timing, so the treatment fits around your life.
What happens in the room
Cosmelan works in two phases, and both matter.
- The in-clinic peel. Your therapist applies a professional peel to start the depigmentation process. The peel works to inhibit melanin production and speed up cellular turnover.
- The home care protocol. After your appointment, you follow a prescribed home care routine. This is not optional. It works with the peel to protect and improve the results.
Together, the two phases support ongoing improvement in skin quality, texture and tone. The treatment does not stop when you leave the studio; much of the work continues at home.
Results and aftercare
Some downtime is expected. It usually means mild redness and peeling while the skin renews itself. It is a manageable part of the process, and your appointments are scheduled with your commitments in mind, so you can plan around it.
As the skin renews, brown patches and marks should look less obvious and your tone more even. The aim is a clearer, brighter, more unified complexion, with an improvement in texture as well.
Good to know
Pigmentation can return. This is true of melasma in particular. That is why daily sun protection and a maintenance plan are part of the treatment, not extras. Your therapist will talk you through both at consultation, so you know what looking after your results involves.
If you have an important event coming up, mention it when you book. Scheduling is managed around individual needs, and it is easier to plan the downtime well in advance than to work around it later.
