Sublime Skin Tightening is a non-invasive treatment for skin that has started to lose its firmness. It uses a combination of bipolar radiofrequency and infrared to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin, with the aim of helping it look firmer, more lifted and better defined.

Most people book it because they have noticed things softening along the jaw and neck and want to do something about it without downtime getting in the way of their week. There is little to none, and the treatment itself is comfortable.

Who it suits

It suits you if your concerns are about structure rather than surface. That usually means skin laxity, jowls, sagging around the neck, or a general loss of definition in the face. If your jawline looks less crisp than it used to, this is the kind of treatment designed for that.

It also suits people who want a result they can build on gradually rather than a dramatic change in one visit. As with all our clinical treatments, your therapist assesses your skin first, and suitability is confirmed at consultation.

What happens in the room

Your therapist works over the areas you want to address, delivering the radiofrequency and infrared energy into the deeper dermal layers. The heat is controlled and gentle. Most people find the treatment comfortable throughout.

Two things happen as a result. The first is immediate: the existing collagen fibres contract slightly, which gives an instant tightening sensation. The second is slower. The controlled heat encourages the skin to produce new collagen and elastin, the building blocks that give young skin its structure.

Results and aftercare

Your skin often feels smoother and firmer straight away. Any mild redness usually settles within a few hours, so you can get on with your day.

The longer-term change comes as the new collagen develops. Over time the skin's underlying structure is gradually remodelled, and the result is a more toned, lifted and firm look. This is why it pays to be patient. What you see on the day is the start, not the end.

Good to know

For the best and longest-lasting results, a series of treatments is recommended rather than a single session. Your therapist will suggest a plan once they have seen your skin and understood what you want to change. Bring your questions to the consultation. It is the best time to talk through which areas to focus on and what a realistic result looks like for you.
